Camp James is one of the hatchery's stocking points.  With regular stocking, the rainbow trout are just waiting to take your bait.  Forgot your bait?  No problem, we are just up the road from Sierra Gateway Market.  They will be happy to assist you with all of your fishing needs.

The Kern River offers hours of fun.  Not a fisherman?  You can get a guided river rafting trip or maybe a kayaking lesson.

Camp James is surrounded by many wonderful trails.  You can go hiking or biking.  We are just minutes away from the Trail of 100 Giants.  If you are wanting more extreme sports, you can go rock climbing.

If you prefer lake sports, Camp James is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Lake Isabella.  Marinas offer boat rentals or jet ski rentals.  Or bring your own and prepare to have hours of fun!
